CIF appeals are narrow. The only ground is material error in the assessment process: factual mistakes by the assessor, missed evidence, or procedural failure. Disagreement with the scoring is not a ground.

Grounds for appeal
A clear material error in the assessment process. Disagreement with the assessor's professional judgement on scoring is not appealable.
The June 2026 window
The window opens immediately after outcomes publication on 22 May 2026 and runs for the defined period set out in the published outcomes letter.
Evidence required
A focused appeal letter quoting the assessor feedback verbatim, identifying the specific factual or procedural error, and attaching the evidence already submitted that the assessor missed or mis-read.
Historical success rate
Successful appeals are a small share of total appeals. Most unsuccessful bids are better placed strengthening evidence for the next cycle than pursuing an appeal on a borderline assessment.
